Reminder -- green jobs breakfast series continues July 26

A reminder that Columbia Heights/Shaw Family Support Collaborative and Urban Solar Solutions are sponsoring a free series of breakfast meetings about all things green construction, workforce development, food, and transportation.   The series concludes July 29.   More information is in the flier.

Neighborhood greening grant proposal deadline nearing

Washington Parks & People is awarding mini-grants for projects focusing on the health of the community, youth involvement, and butterfly habitat.   The deadline for proposals is February 23 and all applicants are encouraged to attend one mini grant briefing (February 16 and 17).

Washington Parks & People is particularly interested in community and neighborhood greening projects in underserved areas with the potential for the greatest impact.
